"Ring" in the New Years with a hike to the Turkey Point Light Station on this 0.8 mile out-and-back gravel trail. Experience the newly renovated entrance road, parking lot, and reconstructed bell tower. Stroll through meadows and wooded areas before coming to the iconic beacon of the park with expansive views of the head of the Chesapeake Bay. Volunteers with Turkey Point Light Station Inc. will open the lighthouse to climbers from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 1.
