Some of the finest historic base ball clubs from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland will come to Cecil County to compete in over 32 games played the same way base ball (2 words) was played in 1864 using the same rules and customs of the day as well as using historically accurate uniforms and equipment from the mid-19th century. Cecil County won the opportunity to host the tournament over 18 other towns and regions that competed for the chance to host the event. Cecil County Tourism, Cecil County Parks and Recreation and the Maryland Sports Commission partnered to put together a very attractive proposal which ultimately led to the selection of the site.

The tournament will be played on 4 fields over the weekend: 3 of them will be at the Bard Cameron Sports Complex and 1 field will be at the Dove Valley Winery, both located in Rising Sun.
